It’s 0635. The sun rises above the grey appearing sea in the east with a dazzling “sun river” on it. It’s already pretty warm, but with the STB cockpit enclosures down as shades and just a tiny little breeze, it’s kind of pleasant in the cockpit.

Looking at sea in stern direction, the sea looks blue with a highly reflecting surface, being dynamically structured with little wavelets, maybe 10 cm high. MaRe swings in the swell, which runs onto her from SW.

I started making dough for bread in my first watch. Now I continue and will bake around 0800. In between 2 “dough sessions”, I did my fitness training after which I always feel go.

Last night, we had a good run for a while, but during Tobi’s second watch the wind died. We took sails down but when i started my second watch.

As I needed to charge batteries again, I used the PRT engine for while to charge and drive MaRe towards the next WPT, which is still more than 600 NM ahead of us.

Right now MaRe has the genoa out and pulled open with the barber hauler. It’s not fast but we are moving.

When Tobi is up, I want to use the gennaker to gain a bit more speed. Having said above, I hope the wind conditions will be the same or even better.

Need to go back to my dough to have freshly baked bread for breakfast.
