We are about 5 NM east of our WPT Suva E. My inner watch woke me up before Joe could do it. I like when my inner watch triggers me.

I changed only the course and did not trim the genoa and small jip to slow down a bit. Still MaRe runs often up to 9 KN STW. The new course is a bit less bumpy because the AWA is 90 – 100 deg.

With this course and few adjustments, I’m heading to a point about 5 NM east of the outer reef of Ovalau island. Once I’m there, I’ll heave-to and drift slowly and comfortably towards the pass on the reef because I want to have the sunlight on my back when going through the pass. The drifting will be the right time for breakfast while being very stable outside at the sea.

After having been several times in Suva, the actual capital city, I curious how Levuka, the old capital city will be.
