We are drifting,
We are drifting,
We are drifting, windless waters, in the sea….
(Rod Stewart, if I’m not wrong)
We just put the sails down because the today pretty good matching weather forecast says no wind for the next 3 h. There are also no nimbus clouds around, which could bring a bit of wind.
As for the weather model I’m using ECMWF and offshore as a cross reference SPIRE. What I don’t understand is why the US GFS model has no significant visible improvements. The hit rate of the GFS (Global Forecast System) is much lower than the hit rate of the models I’m using.
