231224 Christmas sail around the corner

This morning er changed plans in the last moment. I checked all available information and plotted the route around the eastern end of Nuku-Hiva. Destination is the Hanaho Bay at the eastern end of the north coast of Nuku-Hiva.

Currently we are heading 70 deg, which would normally be fully against the trade wind. But the gods of wind, and especially the monkey with the tin tool (do you remember that nasty beast?) are celebrating Christmas and we have only 2 Bft wind from E. Thus, we will motor around the corner. It’s only 20 NM

Currently I’m also baking bread. When this is finished I try to get a Christmas fish, because there are not many Christmas turkeys our here at sea.
