Time to sail again

The 2 important repairs are almost done.

The Tohatsu outboard motor runs again! It was a tricky repair and I was lucky that the technician of BUDGET MARINE is a very experienced. It was not only the carburetor, which needed to be replaced but also the piston rings. When the piston rings were replaced he found that the oil was very sticky. The last service, less than 10 running hours ago, filled in a wind oil.

The ONAN genset, out for repair at ELECTEC, is already built in and today, the electrical cabling will be done. First test run was perfect. Tomorrow covers will be put back on again and more system tests well follow. The finally one is making water for 1 – 2 h; this gives the maximal electrical load. This test will fill up the water tank because the water maker creates almost 180 l freshwater per hour.

Other things are almost done.

Provisioning this afternoon or tomorrow. And I need to bake some bread.

Thus, I expect to cast the lines off in 2 – 3 days because of a COVID-19 test I need just before departure.
