As the wind speed went down to 10 – 13 KN TWS and the wave were rather flat, sailing was not rough as during earlier nights in the more northern edge of the SE trade winds. Sailing speed is low as well.<\/p>\n
Non of the crew members on watch duty before me, needed to wake me up. However, earlier in the night, I got up from my sofa, went into the cockpit to learn that I only dreamed I was called.<\/p>\n
As I was awake, I took the chance to take a sea water shower, which I intended to take during my watch, and went back to sleep.<\/p>\n
The sea it’s dark but had a lot of phosphorescence activities. Thus the wake of MaRe’s two hulls is full of millions of light emitting algae. Some are very bright. An interestingly looking phenomenon dragging about 5 m street the edge of the sternsm<\/p>\n
A while ago a quarter of the sky was covered cirro-cumulus clouds. Now, an hour later, there are quite some cirro-stratus to be seen below. I hope the later one don’t become more because it would mean rain.<\/p>\n
About 2 h ago a cargo ship passed us astern. A Hong Kong registered vessel was heading to China through the nightly sea. A rare event.<\/p>\n
