With Ralf’s explanation on how to deal with the sea charts, I got the breakthrough in using openCPN.

With openCPN I will be able to additionally use satellite images as well. Bing and Google charts are provided off-line.

The Alternative would be to get the satellite images into my Axiome as well. There’s is still some work to be done.

Thus, during the last days I spent hours at land to download charts. 50 – 55 of 60 GB are downloaded.

Next week one time more and I get all what I need into my PC.
