Inge disembarked scheduled to fly back home to Switzerland. In some tasks she left her traces on board and I’ll follow ideas she had. We had a good time for the 3 months she stayed on board and we made my final cruise through the Marquesian Islands together. Thanks Inge.

OBM arrived on Wednesday and took over her tasks on board. Ruslana, my crew member to NZ arrived yesterday. Ruslana’s arrival was a bit of a nail-biter as the location of her luggage was unclear and she was issued a faulty boarding pass to Hiva-Oa. However, she and her luggage finally arrived at Hiva-Oa.

Both of them suffer still from a jet lag of 18 and 11 h. I’m glad that sailing doesn’t cause jet lag.

As I saw a small oil leakage at the bottom of the STB engine, I want to make sure that it is closed before we take off for Tahiti.I could convince Vincent the director of Marquesas Maintenance Service to send a technician on Thursday. Unfortunately there are 4 days off now due to the Eastern festivities. Thus, this work will continue only on Tuesday morning.

Yesterday, OBM did some food shopping just for the next days. Unfortunately she couldn’t get eggs. It seems the Easter Egg tradition, which is supposed to be known also here, caused the shortage of eggs

I’ll try again in 2 other shops to see if I can get eggs.

Happy Eastern to all of you!
